A Dream Coming True
Welcome to my Baked Bliss. This my small dream coming to life. Made from all imagination or just a bit of motivation! I am able to make all sorts of desserts, candies & confections! If you are needing something a little bit more special or a little different, I can help with that! The picture that is featured here is my Fresh Fruit Flan. It has a shortbread crust with a cream cheese center. It is then topped with summer fresh fruits (or ones that are in season) and then brushed with a citrus glaze. This is a perfect-any-time of the year dish!
The Giant Cupcake Cake July `11
This delicious cupcake cake was made for a friend's bridal shower. I was very excited that I was asked to help out! I love making things for other people and seeing the joy that comes from them. It was a big hit with everyone! The large cupcake is a read velvet cake with a chocolate fudge center. The 'basket' that is woven around the bottom is a chocolate butter-cream. The smaller eight cupcakes are a natural vanilla cake with a fudge filling & a vanilla butter-cream icing. Each cupcake has edible royal icing flowers and piped chocolate filigree, no two cupcakes are alike.

Red Velvet & Butter-cream Frosting Aug 6 `11
This cake meant a great deal to me. I had the chance to make my friend`s wedding cake and see the joy in their faces on that day. This was one of the more time consuming cakes, but it was well worth all the effort. It measured almost 3` tall and 1` wide. The bottom tier alone took 3 batches of batter, and 2 hours to bake!! But always the part where you want the cooling process to hurry up, seems to be the longest part. Finally after putting all the chocolate fudge middles in and doing the first icing coat, it was finally starting to look like a wedding cake. All the details were coming together, and was starting to take shape beautifully. The lightly purple dusted callas, along with the satin ribbon gave all the right little touches. On the very top tier the Bride`s playful choice of the `Bride & Groom` pulled it together as one. I`m very excited for my first full fledged wedding cake, and I can`t wait to make more!
